INTRODUCTION
This year our IES is one hundred years old (1908-2008). We are very happy about it. Our school has changed a lot throughout the century and education as well. The English Department wanted to join this celebration choosing as the topic of the Orator project the centenary. The idea was to do a trip along the century. And we really did it!
If we are given the grant, Huddersfield is going to be our destination, where we hope to widen our knowledge and probably see other different ways to understand education. This blog will be a witness of what we did and what we will do once there. We invite you to share our experiences here and there. Follow us!
A LINK IN HUDDERSFIELD
This is going to be our link when we are in England. We are going to be able to communicate with our colleagues and families in Catalonia through our blog writing our diary with a photo of the day.
16th June 2008Dear diary,
Today I have caught my first bus in Huddersfield, I met my friends at the bus station and we went to the Sikh Centre. Richard and kami explained a lot of things about the programme. Then I have my first English packed lunch and I enjoyed it. In the afternoon we did a quiz in the centre of Huddersfield. Finally we went shopping. Then I met Alan, my host brother, and we went home. After dinner we went Adam playing cricket. I didn`t like it because it was very cold.
